August 14th is the last show of the summer for Fort Reno. The Evens are not playing the park this summer. It is also the last summer of Bush's presidency. Fort Reno was also close to not opening this year because of traces of Arsenic found in it's soil. All of these facts lead me to believe that if Fugazi do not return under these circumstances, then they never will. So this summer is going to be a good one. One additional thing I took note of is that, not only the Evens(who my friends and I have gone to see for the past 2 years), but no Dischord bands are set to play this summer. This could have been done purposely to set up this long awaited reunion.


So, on the subject of shows, and bands that I like, I'm trying to go to Philly for the 4th of July if enough of my friends are willing to go. None More Black are playing a free show at the Deep Sleep. It is supposed to be the vinyl record release of This is Satire. I will post the flyer when I can access myspace. Also, there is a parade that day as well as Geno's Philly cheese steaks.

There is also the Boris show w/ Torche on July 8th at the Black Cat which I am excited for. This post sort of opened my eyes to how eclectic my music tastes are. But I like that.
